WEDDING RATES & SERVICES:
COMPLETE WEDDING CEREMONY....$450
In general terms (start/stop times are always very flexible) Wedding Ceremony Service starts from one half hour before the vows as guests arrive, then to the entrance music for wedding party members (most importantly the Bride!), to any special pieces during the vows, then exit music. After the ceremony I usually play for ‘Cocktail Hour’, that is, the interim between the ceremony and reception (this time varies.) Special musical requests outside my repertoire are possible, but past learning a new piece which can be included, a $25 charge per new song applies.
WEDDING CELEBRATORY DINNER....$250
Often, in elegant settings, at small weddings, or due to preferences and tastes, James is asked to play background music through the Celebratory Dinner. This price is a negotiable price, due to the many variables that come into play. Special Music Selections Requests not in Repertoire: $25 Each.
WEDDING CEREMONY AND CELEBRATORY DINNER COMBINED (5 hours)...$675
REHEARSAL DINNER....$250
James is regularly requested to play background music at Rehearsal Dinners, often when other arrangements have been made for the wedding day.
ANNIVERSARY DINNER (3 hours).....$300
Many couples, especially on significant anniversaries, have a small group of friends and/or family to honor their time together, sometimes in a private residence, sometimes in a public venue such as Old Edwards Inn in Highlands, the Biltmore in Asheville, or a Bed & Breakfast. These occasions are wonderful times and often there are special songs the couple requests or tunes that the attendees join in and sing together for the couple!
TRAVEL COSTS....
Any event within 2 hours of Asheville are without charge. Travel beyond is charged at $50 an hour unless prior agreements are made due to circumstances.
CONSULTATION
Once a bride decides to employ our services, it is enthusiastically suggested to meet and get acquainted, review the music you want, and get a schedule of the ceremony as it exists at that time (all details can change, I know!). The Consultation fee is $50.00 non-refundable, but that is deducted from the final performance fee. This fee also acts as a Save-The-Date fee. Phone consultation also is workable. This is not a phone call or meeting to get initial information to make a decision; this consultation is to meet and plan after the decision is made. I highly encourage anyone to email or call for information, clarification, negotiation or and questions about the service to see if it is right for you. All terms are negotiable, but payment is in advance of the ceremony or immediately after, please, thank you!
I wear a dark blue two-piece Lauren suit with a white/pink shirt and business tie unless otherwise directed. For less formal events, I where a long sleeve pullover collarless shirt and tan slacks. I usually arrive one hour before an event to set up and do a sound check. I do not drink or smoke. If there are any special items needed to make your occasion fit your wishes, they are decided upon during our consultation. Please speak up about everything you wish.
At locations where there is no electricity such as country or wilderness settings, I supply a high quality system that is portable and independent of any power supply that will furnish a wonderful musical ambience. For information about the equipment I use visit my services and equipment page.

James can provide various combinations of Flute, Cello and Violin with Guitar, either as a duo or trio in classical, light jazz and pop musical styles. Pop, classical and folk singers are also part of our offering...the linked websites will have samples of these in the first quarter of 2010
